
The Sports Journalists’ Federation of India (SJFI) expresses profound
grief over the sudden demise of veteran sports journalist Shri Santosh
Suri of Lucknow today morning due to a heart attack.
Santosh Suri served with distinction at The Times of India till his
retirement and remained active as a contributor to Mid-Day. He was
also a fine cricketer who regularly participated in JK Bose cricket and
represented North Zone as an opening bowler with his precise
inswingers.
We pay tribute to his long and meaningful contribution to sports
journalism and the game of cricket.
SJFI stands in solidarity with his bereaved family.
May his soul attain sadgati and rest in eternal peace.
